Anděl is a result of both extreme potential of used materials and enormous efforts of the originators. Technology of the layered facade allows to vary the building appearance during the daytime, hence Anděl is becoming variable and unseizable in a certain way. Its complex shape resembles a torch pointing to the crossroads, and the amount of glass seemingly fills the building with air – an average amount of glass used on facades is 50%. The glass is coated by a soft layer, with a maximum possible light permeability, low solar factor and a reflection, assuring convenient thermal comfort inside the building. A unique technology has been developed for portraying clouds and the Angel. Graphics is printed on an advert foil and cut into millimetre-sized dots, which are sticked onto the facade in a density of 80 000/m2. Number of dots on the complex is reaching 150 millions; the printing and cutting process ran uninterruptedly for over 7 months.
Zlatý Anděl is a six-floor leasehold retail and commercial property situated on the Anděl crossroads, directly above the Prague underground station (line B) with the same name. Transport service is provided also by more than a dozen of public transport lines and parking places located in the building directly.
