Sequana is an outstanding example of energy efficiency. It was one of the very first high-rise buildings to be certified against the NF Bâtiments Tertiaires HQE® standard; it in fact largely exceeds the requirements. It makes an energy saving of more than 40% compared to traditional buildings compliant with the 2005 thermal design code (RT 2005).
Its energy and environmental performance led to Bouygues Immobilier winning the 2007 ‘Eco Building’ prize in the ‘Very Tall Building’ category.
