Nordic Light offices is Skanska Property Hungary’s next LEED pre-certified project in the pipeline. The office complex will be developed in two phases. Project completion is planned in Q2 and Q3 2016.
The building performed exceptionally well in all sustainability criteria of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design international green building certification system (LEED), and acquired the Gold level pre-certification for core and shell.
The elegant and energy-efficient building on Budapest’s busy Váci Road office corridor will offer 26,200 square meters of office space on 7 floors and parking on 3 underground levels. With its unique architectural features and sustainable solutions, Nordic Light will be a great addendum to Skanska Property Hungary’s portfolio of green buildings.
The newest office building of Skanska is located on the inner Váci road, one of the most popular office districts of Budapest. Nordic Light, due to its modern appearance and LEED Gold certification, will certainly be one of the capital’s most up-to-date office buildings, offering a great location to its tenants and their employees, close to the heart of Budapest. Due to several subway and tram stations close by, the building is easy to reach from all directions.
Along with the construction of the building, tree planting and a general renewal of the building’s immediate environment is taking place and a new public passage connecting the community to the garden and services of the building will provide a pleasant and exciting atmosphere. Services, a restaurant and a coffee place are a matter-of-course to serve the convenience of the building’s Tenants.

• Priority charging for electric cars
• Above average natural light in the premises
• Photovoltaic panels for electricity savings
• Water efficiency (rain and soil water used for flushing,
and eliminating potable water use for irrigation)
• Individual energy meters on tenant premises
• Energy efficient elevators
• Sustainable solutions guide for tenants (office green design and construction)
