In 2011 GÖRG has already concluded the year’s third-largest lease in Cologne, for around 6,800 square meters—or two-thirds of the rental space in the Rheinetagen building—and moved in to the six upper levels of the seven office stories at the beginning of 2013. With this latest lease, just 95 percent of the space in maxCologne has already been let now one year before completion.

maxCologne was at Number 1 of the top 20 subjects under discussion in Cologne. The Kölner Stadtanzeiger, a Cologne daily newspaper, says that maxCologne has become a symbol of an urban development policy that appears to be succeeding here. Sold, let and right on schedule: The extensively refurbished maxCologne development has been ready on time for its tenants in 2013.

One of Cologne’s most prominent plazas is lies between two buildings, offering a view of the neighboring church Alt St. Heribert and the other side of the Rhine. The exterior will be given a new look with horizontally arranged glass elements. Both of the buildings are sustainable and feature energy-efficient concepts, including the use of ground water as a renewable source of energy for regulating the climate of the offices. maxCologne has already been recognized with the DGNB’s precertification in gold.
