Of all the CEE countries, Poland accounts for most of the certified space (730,000 sqm), followed by the Czech Republic (540,000 sqm), Hungary (230,000 sqm), Romania (205,000 sqm) and Slovakia (63,000 sqm). The system most commonly used in the region for existing buildings is BREEAM In-Use, while LEED methodology is presently dominating the pipeline of registered projects. DGNB is also used (but only in four office projects) in the region, in addition to a few other certification methods.
