Three Tishman International Companies property managers received their certificates from the World President of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Joseph Greenblatt, last evening in a ceremony held at Crystal Palace Hotel, Sofia. During the awards ceremony, he congratulated the first 10 Bulgarian Property Managers, who successfully completed the specialized training required to qualify for this coveted certification. This program was organized for the very first time in Bulgaria. Nikola Ignatoff, Malinka Marinkina and Olga Stoichkova were officially awarded the Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) certification, as a result of successfully completing the rigorous training, which covered several modules within a two-year period. The professional property managers who were awarded the prestigious certification, completed examinations assessing their competence in managing financial operations and assets, human resource management, risk management, maintenance and operations, as well as marketing and leasing.

“Tishman International Companies is a global real estate investor with a long and recognized history and as such, we pay great attention to the quality of the management and the competence of our colleagues who implement our procedures and methods. It is our priority to earn and maintain the trust of our customers and we accomplish this by managing their assets as though they are our own. As Chairman of Tishman International Companies, I am very proud that our company has the single largest number of CPMs employed by our firm in Bulgaria”, said Alan D. Levy, Chairman of Tishman International. Mr. Levy has held the prestigious CPM certification for nearly 50 years.

“The success of any project depends to a great extent on the quality of building management. When we were entering the Bulgarian market, we were well aware that a modern and sustainable project as Sofia Airport Center, should be managed by seasoned managers”, added Julian Edwards, Managing Director-Europe of Tishman International.

During his official visit to Bulgaria, Joseph Greenblatt, the World President of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) visited Sofia Airport Center (SAC), one of the most sustainable and modern business parks in the country. His tour provided him the opportunity to see firsthand the high professional standards used by the SAC property managers.

SAC is the only LEED Gold® certified office development in Bulgaria and one of only three buildings in the Southeastern European region to achieve this level of USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council). The LEED Gold certification is based on the detailed evaluation of the building`s overall performance and sustainability, including strategies and policies used in planning, construction, operations and maintenance.
